Cláudio Vidal (b.1979, Aveiro, Portugal): Stage director, performer and communication designer, graduated from the University School of Arts of Coimbra (EUAC) in 2010. He has been developing his work in the field of illustration, animation, video, installation and design. He was a co-founder member of the art group Salão 40, whose activity was directed towards the organization of art exhibitions, and naked drawing workshops. As a performer, he deepened his work as a member of CITAC (2008-2011). He has had formation, among others, with Paula Diogo, Mafalda Saloio, Vânia Gala and Nuno Pino Custódio. He worked as an actor / performer with Wojtek Ziemilsky, Rodrigo Malvar, Madalena Victorino, Andrés Bezares and Patrick Murys. He was video producer in Reality Show (Winner of Innovation award, Festival FATAL 2009) and Hypnos Club (Winner of Innovation Award, Festival FATAL 2010). He is co-founder and member of DEMO. In 2011 he participated as a performer/director in the artistic research project Russian Roulette, with DEMO at the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, Poland. Also in 2011, he did the course ArtHumanNature, taught by Anita Saij, in the Nordic School of Butoh. He also participated, as a dancer, in the METAMORPHOSE multimedia installation by the artist Martin Thaulow (choreographed by Anita Saij), in Copenhagen. In 2012, he co-staged and performed the DEMO performance Fios de Terra, included in the Guimarães 2012 - European Capital of Culture's programme Tempos Cruzados. Co-staged and performed in the show LIMBO, co-produced by DEMO and CITAC. Participated as a performer in the performative installation Star Dust at the Festival Manobras in Oporto. Has trained and directed the project UWAGA! produced by DEMO also inserted in the Guimarães 2012 - European Capital of Culture's programme Tempos Cruzados. This year, co-staged and performed the show A QUEDA, a partir do Limbo in co-production with the Centre for Performing Arts of Figueira da Foz (an artistic residency, sponsored by Corpodehoje - Cultural Association). 2013 co-staged and performed in the show NEBULOSA included in the Guimarães 2012 - European Capital of Culture's programme Tempos Cruzados.
